Kevin Simpson, CTFA
Kevin Simpson has worked in banking for more than 15 years. He began his career as a bank examiner before moving into wealth management.
His responsibilities have included account administration, portfolio management and estate administration. Prior to starting the trust
department for Kentucky Trust Bank in 2002, Kevin managed the trust department of Bowling Green Bank and Trust and the Bowling Green
location for Area Trust Company.
Kevin has a BBA in Finance from Eastern Kentucky University and is a graduate of the National Graduate Trust School at Northwestern
University. Kevin also has attended the Cannon Graduate Trust School and has received his Certified Trust and Financial Advisor Designation.
Kevin is active in the community serving as past president of the Southern Kentucky Estate Planning Council, past Jaycee Treasurer, a youth
league soccer coach, a member of the Bowling Green Noon Rotary Club, (treasurer of the Bowling Green/Warren County Community Foundation),
and has served on the United Way of Southern Kentucky Allocation and Campaign teams.
John D. Grider, CPA
John D. Grider was a tax partner with BKD, LLP until his retirement from the firm in 2000. During his time at BKD, LLP he specialized in the
taxation of trusts and estates. Prior to joining BKD, LLP, he was a partner at J.C. Holland & Company and spent ten years at Citizens National
Bank as a trust officer as well as the Chief Financial Officer for the bank.
John has a BS in Accounting from the Bowling Green Business University, which is now a part of Western Kentucky University. He has attended
numerous continuing educational conferences in the area of estate planning and the taxation of trusts and estates. He is active in the
community serving as past president of the Southern Kentucky Estate Planning Council, chairman of The Kentucky Library and Museum Advisory
Board, co-chair of the Southern Kentucky Book Fest for three years, on the Campaign Cabinet for the Investing in the Spirit campaign at Western
Kentucky University, a lifetime honorary board member of Girls, Inc., treasurer of the Bowling Green - Warren County Community Foundation, and a
member of the Bowling Green Noon Rotary Club.
Rick Cash
Rick Cash started his career at National City Bank over five years ago. He was responsible for portfolio management and administration of trust
accounts. He came to Kentucky Trust bank in 2003 where his responsibilities include trust administration, investment management, administration
of 401 (k) accounts and Employee Stock Ownership Plans.
Rick has a BS in Finance from Western Kentucky University and has attended Cannon Trust Schools. Rick recently attended McKay-Hochman Retirement
Plan Services School and is working on his Certified Retirement Services Professional designation. He is a member of the Southern Kentucky Estate
Planning Council, Treasurer of the Family Enrichment Center and Past Treasurer of the Southern Kentucky Fair. He is also a United Way Volunteer,
a member of the Bowling Green AM Rotary Club, and is active in the Chamber of Commerce.
Michelle Culbertson
Michelle Culbertson was employed by PRIMUS Financial Services in Franklin, TN for the past 9 years. Some of her key responsibilities included
processing customer loans, reviewing dealer accounts, and auditing processes and procedures. She joined Kentucky Trust Bank in 2005 where her
responsibilities include assisting in the administration of all trust accounts, posting transactions and coordinating all mutual fund purchases and
sales. Michelle has recently attended the Southeastern Trust School at Campbell University in North Carolina.
Michelle has a B.A. in Management and Human Relations from Trevecca University in Nashville, TN. She enjoys and makes community involvement a priority.
While employed by PRIMUS she served on their Community Relations Committee where she lead and co-chaired several events for company sponsored non-profit
programs and charities. Michelle has served as the co-chair for both the company United Way campaign and Angel Tree program for the McNeilly Center for
Children, as well as team organizer and leader for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Walk-A-Thon event, Junior Achievement Volunteer, and
participated in numerous other national and local organized events.
